Julie Chen Moonves is the host of Big Brother's 22nd season that premiered on CBS 5 August 2018. Chen Moonves served as moderator, and was one of the first hosts on The Talk. She won a Daytime Emmy Award for her work. She was a journalist before becoming host. Her desire was to write. In fact, it won her an Emmy. Her outstanding talk show also won her an Emmy. The Talk examines contemporary events using the perspective of five hostesses. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News' early morning news program The Early Show for a decade. Prior to this, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor in addition to being the anchor for news for The Early Show. Chen Moonves was sent to Cairo in the aftermath of 9/11. There, she tracked down and interviewed the father of hijackers to an eye-opening, interesting interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. She also spoke with ex- New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani as well as Queen Rania. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. The program featured famous people like Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes Matthew McConaughey Brooks, Robert DeNiro and Jennifer Lopez. She was a producer for ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the network's affiliate news service as well as an assistant desk in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) as she completed her senior year at the University of Southern California. In her desk-assistant role for ABC News late night broadcast Nightline she was a part of the team that worked with Ted Koppel. He remains among her top journalists. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker on Anatomy of a Riot (the Premiertime Special of Columbia du-Pont that looked at what happened during the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
